Jaya Bremer is an emergency management professional and principal of Bremer Consulting. She holds a Master’s in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University and is recognized provincially as a preferred supplier for Community Recovery Manager with BC’s Ministry of Emergency Management & Climate Readiness.

She brings specialized expertise in post-disaster recovery, having supported communities impacted by major flood and wildfire events — including serving as a Recovery Specialist following the 2021 atmospheric river event, and as a Community Recovery Manager supporting Cache Creek’s 2023 spring freshet recovery, and the Squamish Lillooet Regional District’s 2023 wildfire recovery efforts.

Jaya works with local governments, Indigenous Nations, and organizations across BC to navigate recovery, strengthen preparedness, and build long-term resilience. She is known for her collaborative leadership, ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder processes, and her commitment to ensuring communities feel informed and supported through every stage of emergency management.
